Polytopics & PolyNotes Newsletters
PMA alternately publishes PolyTopics and PolyNotes newsletters on association activities and the U.S. polyurethane industry in general. When members reach for Polytopics or PolyNotes, they receive the latest on industry trends and current publications, the updates on all ongoing PMA programs and the latest information on health and safety and government regulations.

Regulatory Affairs Division

The Regulatory Affairs Division functions to help Members comply with government regulations; to promote safe and responsible use of chemicals; to promote high standards in workplace safety and health; to identify proposed government action affecting the membership; and to recommend specific action by PMA, or its members, with respect to proposed government action.
Consulting Services
Available to PMA Members Only
Member companies benefit from the services of Dr. Ted Hogan, Industrial Hygienist, who has prepared compliance programs for many multinational corporations. He has developed a Comprehensive Safety and Health Model Program for the Association, which includes a recent update of the Respiratory Protection Program.
Dr. Hogan provides informative programs at PMA's meetings and is available to privately address member questions between meetings (via telephone) for up to two hours at no charge during the year. The primary function of the Technology Division is to evaluate the technical and processing needs of this industry and develop reference materials and programs to meet those needs.
PMA Technical Papers
Technology is a driving force in our industry, leading to new processes and products, refining the established ones, maximizing our investments in time, money, talent and materials. For more than thirty years, PMA Technical Papers have helped map the industry future. Technical paper presentations have provided an important industry opportunity to showcase technical developments to industry leaders at PMA meetings.
Technical papers are chosen for presentation based on their technical content, timeliness of the subject, and relevance to PMA members and the industry. More than 300 Technical Papers are available.
PMA Poster Sessions
Product presentations are one of the most well-received events at PMA meetings, offering visual education and new information and technology in an informal setting and forum that encourages interaction among participants. PMA Poster Sessions regularly offer a look at the latest tools, techniques and processes.
Processing Techniques Seminars
PMA's Processing Techniques Seminars (PTS) offer a hands-on training opportunity for urethane industry professionals. They are designed for front-line personnel who handle specific, complex challenges associated with urethane production - plant managers, design engineers, owners, research and development engineers and foremen.
Processing Techniques Seminars provide an interactive learning atmosphere where attendees can meet with industry experts in a casual, yet informative setting. Each topics guided by experts who have "been there."
